NILDS, Lagos Law Reform Commission Deepen Partnership On Legislative Reform.

As part of the five-day training workshop on Advanced Legislative Drafting for the Executive Secretary, legal officials and legislative drafters of the Lagos State Law Reform Commission, the participants, led by Kehinde David, Esq., paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, NILDS, Prof. Abubakar O. Sulaiman on Monday, 24th, August.

During the visit, David called for stronger collaboration between the Commission and NILDS, particularly in advancing the Commission’s Reform Intelligence Desk, RID, Initiative.

Responding, Professor Sulaiman described Lagos State as a strategic component of Nigeria’s development and expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government for its continued confidence in NILDS and its consistent commitment to strengthening the capacity of its lawmakers, legislative staff and other public officials through the Institute.

He reaffirmed NILDS’ readiness to deepen its partnership with the Lagos State Government and support initiatives that promote effective legislation, institutional reform, and good governance.
